Because my time and location freedom are so important to me, I’m unwilling to work 40 hours a week in an office for any amount of money.
I like to choose exactly who I spend my time with, as opposed to have these decisions all made for me.
But going from employee to entrepreneur was one of the most painful ordeals I’ve ever experienced.
Until you have employees that work for you– you don’t truly understand what it means to manage a team and train them.
And the ideas they have about what you as a manager and leader do are silly, until they find out how much they don’t know the effort and cost.
It took me a decade to get to time and location freedom– to be wherever I want, whenever I want– not a few months.
I applaud all of you who have your own business and are working hard to make it happen, despite all the challenges and pain that others don’t see or understand.
